$$$$....I love this neighborhood salon....however my latest experience was shocking when it came to tab out. I was a client of Lynette who moved back home to Hawaii. Wanting to continue supporting my neighborhood businesses I asked owner Nicole who was taking on Lynnette's clients she recommended Danielle. I booked my appointment for highlights including base and a trim. I have quite fine hair that just hits my shoulders in length. I have never paid more than 150.00 at any salon for this service.
Danielle does wonderful work but be very prepared to pay a high amount. My tab without product or tip was 205.00! I was stunned!!! I am a good tipper and in my state of shock I really could not afford a tip on top of this amount but I did tip 15%....half my normal.
In speaking with my friend who has very thick and very long asian hair if this seemed reasonable to what she pays for same treatment she stated that she has never paid this much unless she bought product on top of services (her salon is a very reputable downtown location) When I asked Danielle regarding price here was the breakdown.... 150 for color service 25.00 for trim 30.00 for product used on my hair.
Unfortunately at this price I will need to take my business to another salon.
