I stayed at the 1899 Bed and Breakfast Friday the 30th of September. I cannot not express what a joy it was to stay there. The room was clean and so comfortable. The bed was comfortable. I woke up refreshed and not achey, which can happen when I stay in a motel or hotel. The bathroom had a great shower. Large and roomy with a rain type shower head. Or. If you did not want to get your hair hair wet, there was a row of shower heads that would spray from the shoulders down plus a hand held. To top it off, there was a towel warming towel rack. Lynn and Louis could not have been better hosts. Very friendly very knowledgeable about the area. They were able to recommend great places to eat and see. If you are a coffee drinker, they have a wonderful blend ground for them at a local company. If you are going to be traveling to Spokane Washington, I would highly recommended staying at the 1899 House. You will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful time here. Snuck away from the kids for a night and relaxed in an extremely comfortable room. Nearby was food, shopping and a lovely walk through Browns Addition in Spokane. Food was great, hosts were lovely, and we marveled at the craftsmanship of the historic home.

This is our second visit to the 1899 House. Gillian and Louie are wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome in their home. The Dora Suite is delightful and comfortable, and held a few surprises such as a bag of local coffee beans and chocolates. Gillian's homemade breakfast was delicious. The Browne's Addition neighborhood is lovely, with many gorgeous Victorian homes, as well as a few terrific restaurants. Will certainly stay there on our next visit to Spokane.
