If I could give less than one star I would. I asked for a service call on my hot tub. First visit was less than 5 minutes, left without letting anyone know what was going on. Received a call after work the my system was blown and given an estimate of $1200 to fix it. Next day, received another call telling me it would be $3000+ Received a bill for $106.63 for winter closing. Received another bill for the same amount and was told it was for the 5 minute visit when they did nothing. I have not checked yet, but I cannot believe that this is the only company out there that can provide this service. I will be researching options. Don't use them!!

I had water damage in my basement bathroom. Insurance agreed to cover all the remediation and repairs to get it back to it's original state. Great! ServPro did all the remediation and tearing down of the bathroom. I got a quote from ServPro to get it put back together as well. Then the insurance recommended A1 General Contractors (that should have been my first red flag...the insurance company recommended them) and sent someone out to give a bid. Of course A1 came back with the lowest bid but also refused to give me a copy of the quote/bid. They only provided it to the insurance company. I never got to see it. They said if I wanted it, I needed to ask my adjuster. You are doing work in MY house for ME not the insurance. I should be able to see the quote! That right there lost my confidence and trust in this company. While they were $3500 cheaper than ServPro's quote and $15000 cheaper than another quote I got from another company. Cheaper is not always better. Since A1 gave the lowest quote, my insurance company refused to provide me anymore money to go with ServPro or this other contractor. I had to fight hard with my insurance company to cover the cost of me going with ServPro as the insurance now wanted to reimburse me at the lowest quote and not the quote ServPro provided to them. I didn't trust this company enough to touch my project. I should have read reviews for this company before agreeing to have them even come out to quote anything. BEWARE!

I used A-1 General Contractors to put my home back together after a water leak. They were very professional and handled all the paperwork with the insurance company for me. I am very happy with the results and would recommend them to anyone.
