***EDIT (response to owner’s comment, which she seemed to delete then re-commented so I am attaching screenshot): This is an example of the defensiveness. Lack of accountability and care for what the customer wants, given we want to be happy with something so permanent that we’re paying for. They also blocked me on IG after this.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I usually don’t write negative reviews but feel strongly enough about this experience to post one for awareness and as a consideration for others exploring tattoo shops/artists.
My friend and I came in today to get tattoos done together but left shortly after experiencing poor customer service and gaslighting. Beforehand, we sent pictures to the shop/artists and were told we’d see the design at the appointment during which we can tweak/provide feedback. My friend’s design was not like the picture she sent and when she provided feedback kindly, Mia was defensive in her response and seemed annoyed, as if my friend was in the wrong for not having the right design. If they are a shop that can’t be flexible to minor adjustments or accept their own mis-designs, then they should be upfront about that in their process. It is unfortunate that the poor customer service made us turn away from what we planned as a special experience.
I’d be remiss to not mention that a couple right before us also walked away from their appointment from what seemed to be a disagreement, too.
