My experience with this pawnshop was negative from the beginning unfortunately. I came across a bass amp they had posted on OfferUp marketplace for $249.99. The item appeared to be in ok shape with some wear and tear but acceptable. I offered $180.00 after some time I received a message saying the following
For Any Price Negotiations visit our store. First come first serve. 5401 Long Beach Blvd Long Beach, CA 90805
The next day I drove 2 hours thinking ok they didn’t counteroffer but are open to negotiate.. the moment I walked in I fell the not very welcoming energy from the floor sales rep.. after finding the item I could see why they didn’t post pictures of the item from all angles, the item was in worst shape it had some kind of fluid stain on top that covered 60% of the top. Although it was risky due to water damage I honored my initial offer. The guy went to the back and asked who appeared to be the owner of the place he quickly rejected my offer and demanded the full price listed on line.
My issue here is the poor costumer service and overall experience. I drove 2 hours on a hot day in traffic due to a deceiving message saying that all negotiation needed to be in person and second the photos… product misrepresentation or flat out dishonesty lying about the item because the very same item is also posted on eBay and on all instances they failed to provide images that represented the item they are selling.. water damage is a huge deal specially with electronics.. I was willing to test it and give it a try taking the risk factor in consideration BUTTTTT factoring in their attitude, poor costumer service and inaceptable business practices is best to stay away from a business that misrepresents or fails to earn peoples business with their poor practices.. maybbeeeeeeeee just maybe they were just having a bad day but costumer experience is paramount in any industry..
