I was recently maid of honor in a wedding who hired this company to provide tables, chairs and a dance floor for their outdoor wedding. We were told that everything would be dropped off by noon the day before the wedding, which was perfect because it gave us a chance to set up prior to the rehearsal. However, noon came and went and they had not arrived. We called and were told that we were next on the list, but that it might be a couple of hours. Ok, no problem - sh*t happens - I get it. We didn’t receive the drop off of equipment until many hours later.. after the rehearsal, and after dark... at 8 pm. This resulted in an early morning “all hands on deck” scramble for the bridal party and family to set up the equipment on what should have been a relaxing and enjoyable wedding morning.
After setting everything up, several chairs were broken upon arrival and one piece of the dance floor had not arrived and was missing. We called again and they delivered one to us hours later, but right in the nick of time. However, we were not given any help or instructions so the dance floor shifted apart throughout the night, resulting in the mother of the bride losing her footing and falling down.
I gave them two stars because the girl I spoke with in the office was super friendly and I do believe she felt bad and wanted to help.
Overall, this was not at all a great experience and I would not recommend this company to a friend.
When renting a Uhaul we gave what I thought was a conservative estimate of 20 miles. We were giving a price estimate of approximately $80-90 dollars. We were asked if we would return the same day and we told them it would likely be after closing, but was not notified of any difference in cost or additional fees. I should’ve known what I was in for once I saw the check engine light pop up after starting the truck for the first time.
Ultimately starting at 1:44PM we only drove 10 miles (half the predicted distance) and returned the vehicle at approximately 6:00pm the same day, with the proper amount of gas. The bill was approximately $103 despite being half of the projected mileage. There was never any mention of any fee for returning after 5:00 PM. I was charged $29.95 for a rental rate, and $59.90 for a rental charge. The only unexpected charged on my bill were the rental related charges that they did not include in estimates. This means the company is either giving misleading prices to entice customers, or is being dishonest about additional prices and not including them in the projected total.
