I had a technically-challenging garage door project (a high-lift conversion to bring my garage door as close to my 10'4" ceiling as possible) and sought out multiple garage companies. Several well-regarded ones came to provide estimates, but none of them seemed truly confident or knowledgable about the task... until I spoke w/ Aaron at Absolute Garage.
These guys are clearly experienced and no BS, but yet friendly and clearly cared about making sure they deliver on the customer's needs. I asked Aaron multiple questions over the 2 weeks beforehand and he was always patient and detailed in explaining what can/can't be done. They showed up on time and ready to the task, and Ty spent 6 hours at our house and, I don't say this often, but here it is: IT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS. These guys do a darn good job, and they clearly take pride in their workmanship. Especially shout-out for Ty, who went an extra mile to make sure things were perfect and also fun to hang out with while he worked.
Photo below showing before (left) and after (right): I had a Liftmaster overhead with standard tracks, and Ty brought the door to within 2" of the ceiling and installed a jackshaft LM98022. The door works flawlessly and helped me gain a full 16" of headroom... a gain which no other company said they could do (one said it was impossible).
I can't recommend these guys enough. My neighbors came by to see their work and I'd be glad to be a reference for anyone in Puget Sound looking for a high-lift conversion.
