during a week, our ac's variable speed motor started making loud noises when it was switched on. we managed to get through the weekend, and on the following monday, i called a local ac repair service first thing in the morning. the call taker, who was really pleasant, managed to arrange for a technician to come out to our house in Beverly Hills that same afternoon. she provided a 2 hour window between 2 and 4 p.m. Around 3:30 p.m., evan arrived and it took him about 10 minutes to diagnose and fix the problem. the cost was just the price of a service call, as the motor didn't need to be replaced. a little backstory, the same ac repair service had installed a new AC unit in our home a few years back. the motor was under warranty at that time, but not the labor charge. evan informed me that the previous owners of the service had retired, but the quality of service remained high. the person i spoke to that morning, andres, was very helpful and had managed to arrange for the service call on the same day. while evan was here, i asked about replacing the ac filter, but we noticed a buildup of deposits blocking the water supply. he gave me two solutions, (1) installing a new valve, or (2) replacing the section of pipe used for the water supply. i opted for the pipe replacement even though it was a bit more expensive. he scheduled a follow-up appointment for the following wednesday. on wednesday, louis arrived within the agreed on 2 hour window. he was able to replace the pipe and filter within an hour, and he made sure to clean up afterwards. he was very friendly and even fixed a blocked nozzle in our bathroom sink when he noticed low water pressure. the service wasn't free, but the results and quality of work were well worth it. unlike some services, there was no attempt to sell me a new fan when it wasn't necessary. i would highly recommend this ac repair service. they're my go-to for any ac issues. thankfully, the team members i interacted with (andres, evan, and louis) were extremely professional and resolved our issue in a timely and cost-effective manner. i have to give them a solid 'bravo zulu!'
