Update 8/24/2023: Stucco patch job on exterior to finish off [another firm's] rebuilt foundation work. Also, new steel strikeplate installed on back door for security purposes. Thx & great work, Jacob!

Update 8/03/2023: WH was flushed twice. When EBMUD flushes the main line, it loosens sediment which can flow into homeowner pipes. Our gas WH had slimy black sediment floating around in it. All gone now, and we're grateful to AHS for diagnosing and solving the problem (and it's cheaper than using a plumber service!).

Latest update 7/16/23: A # of small jobs which AHS took care of for us! Had a couple of door locks re-aligned, an electrical switchplate changed, a leaky toilet flapper and seat replaced, plus a new door handle. Jacob also took care of a small adjustment on our upstairs sink. We have been having some issues with the hot water flow from this faucet, and he advised us we should have the WH flushed. He'll be returning next week to do that job. We are very happy to have found a reliable service to take care of the many small jobs we can't handle any longer!

Another update: Always a pleasure to do business with AHS/Oakland! Needed to replace a wired-in DW with a new plug-in DW, so had Kyle come out to install new outlet. As always with our home, it turned out to be more difficult than expected but he did his usual great job. Finished up quickly next day with Jacob's help in moving old DW out of the way and capping the hot water connection for now, until the installers come to put in the new appliance.

Very satisfied with ease of scheduling, quick responses, and quality of work! Highly recommend using AHS/Oakland when you have those small home jobs that are on a too-long "to do" list.

Updated, addt'l work: It is so difficult to find good repair services for small home jobs. Ace Handyman Svcs/Oakland specializes in this and has been a lifesaver for us. They are honest, professional, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. We have used them for a variety of services, including the latest: an emergency leak that involved breaking through the exterior stucco and later replacing the interior drywall. We have had them install track lighting, build yard gates, and update our electrical outlets. We cannot praise them highly enough for being a dependable and essential resource in helping us maintain our home! == Previous work: Fast, courteous, competent - and on-time, too! Now how can you beat that? We had three issues (door, track lights, shower control) that seemed small but could be hiding bigger problems. Handyman Matters sent over Kyle and Jacob who diagnosed the problems and fortunately, were able to solve them all on the spot within an hour. It's so difficult to find reliable handyman help for small jobs around the home. We are so happy we found HM. This is the third time we have used them and they have been great for jobs both big and small.
