Front desk could not find lab orders from two different Dr. So we hand one Dr refax order with number check-in provided. And we had Dr email it to us as well. Long story short my husband drove home and printed order and came back with them. Check in never received it by fax. I explained for other order, I would have to make another appointment to get order refaxed due to dr works at a clinic that when patients call they only get nurses voice mail. Next appointment was six weeks out. It was a order for a test to see if I had a bladder infection. Front desk said oh check with lab they also get faxes for orders. Frustrated and not feeling well. I walked back to lab after being in check-in dealing with missing faces for over an hour. I was very upset and about to cry due to I just had uterine cancer and it's super important that I get those test done quickly or it could cause an infection in my kidneys. When I got to lab I checked in. Vicki took me into back for blood draw. Vicki was so sweet and asked what was wrong. I told her about the faxes missing and how the lady in check-in in wasn't able to help. I felt that the front desk threw it on me as if it was my fault. Check-in had told me next time call and make sure we received the faxes before I come down next time. Receiving them was never a problem in past. Asked Vicki if they possibly had the fax in lab due to what check-in lady had said. Vicki said she will look but they don't usually get faxes directly. When nothing was found. Vicki kindly as my Dr name and location. Vicki called my Dr and spoke to someone who verified the fax was sent last Wednesday. Vicki had them resend order and took my sample while she waited for order. I was so happy and relieved. I feel Viki went above and beyond. it was not her job to get my orders like that. I feel it was something the check-in should have done.Viki saved me so much running around to get another order. I just felt so blessed that Vicki was there and took care of me. Vicki did it with grace and calming me down too. I will be forever greatful Vicki took just the few minutes out of her day to make a phone call for me. I felt that she truly cared and that I was not just a number on a form. Thank you Viki for all you did for me that day. You will never know how truly blessed I felt. The intake nurse was amazing, very personable and professional at the same time. The preparation nurses couldn’t have been better. I was comfortable and confident going into the operation. I can’t say enough about the skills of Doctor McCormack on such a delicate operation as back surgely, including his team. Post-op nurses were amazing. Bravo Howard Hospital staff all around! I have two other operations to compare with at other Hospitals. You are number 1. Jim age82.

Had some imaging done, staff was very friendly and put me at ease. They answered all my questions about the process. There was a delay with my first scheduled US, so the other technician took me back instead and I ended up getting done with both early. Belinda and Jessica in imaging were very sweet! I'd definitely come back here again.
