The moving of our belongings was actually quite good, and deserves a slightly higher rating, but the customer service was pitiful. Communication was often ignored, and they constantly seemed unprepared for the specifics of our move.
Movers themselves arrived a day early and were somehow frustrated we weren't ready. They did begrudgingly wear masks, but not consistently, even though they had just come from NYC at the peak of the pandemic.
When our invoice came we were charged for services that they did not provide, and it took two months of emails, calls, and finally an office visit to resolve. In the end everything was corrected, which I have to give them credit for. There is also the caveat that a third party company was also involved in our move, and some responsibility would fall on them as well.

I’ll try to make a long story short. I’m a 70 year old perfectionist control freak. I decided to retire and move from Seattle to Arizona. I had different moving and Pod companies give me quotes. I also estimated the cost to move myself. I choose Air Van because it gave me the lowest estimate and I also liked Mike Wallace the rep who did the estimate. I’ve been in customer service industry, retail and wholesale, for over 45 years. When I read a not so good review for Air Van, I was a little concerned but also know that bad reviews can be very one sided. Thru my career I’ve heard/seen some of them. That said I decided to go with Air Van because I really trusted Mike. Through out the whole process of scheduling dates, the pickup and delivery, the service was excellent. Mike and Jennifer were both patient and understanding about my concerns; remember I’m a perfectionist control freak! On pickup day the crew was on time and took great care with my items. The delivery actually was earlier than estimated (which was great) and the crew was also quick and respectful. And to top it all off the cost came under the estimate!! A long distance move is stressful. Add to that retirement and you have a VERY stressful experience. Mike, Jennifer and Air Van made my experience less stressful. Thank you all! I usually only give 4 stars for good service, but for excellent service I give 5 stars. This is a 5 star company.
