I never write reviews, but I wanted to take a second to say I have really enjoyed their qigong/meditation classes. I went to one on a whim a few weeks ago and was so impressed I immediately decided to make it part of my weekly routine.
I have muscular tension dysphonia, a vocal condition involving chronic tension and pain while speaking/swallowing. After my first qigong class, my throat felt better than it has in years and my voice actually sounded deeper and less strained--as confirmed by a friend! the results were dramatic and totally unexpected, so I know this has nothing to do with the placebo effect.
Plus the vibe is really chill and accepting. Qigong involves movements and vocalizations that would normally make me feel quite self-conscious, but the atmosphere of "you do you" in the room makes it a safe place to try out anything without feeling judged, competitive, or self-critical. This is saying a LOT coming from me, as I am the queen of self-criticism!
Awesome stuff, I look forward to it so much I'm not tempted to skip out no matter how tired I am Friday evening.
