Mt name is Arita Gillett SDC Preschool Teacher for over 10 years. Throughout my years of teaching Children with Special Needs, Adriana is one of the best Speech Terapist I have worked with. She is very knowledgeable about Speech Therapy and always have the right answers and tools to help the students better communicate. During IEP meetings or just a simple chat after class with Parents they always walk away thanking her for the effort and clear explanation she given to them about thier child Speech sessions and growth. Adriana gives hope to Parents which most parents with children with Special needs welcome. She maintains open communication with parents. Even parents that moved on from her caseload due to thirr child promotion or move to another district still keeps in touch with her. Our admistrators, always compliment her at the end of each meeting about how well prepared she was at all meetings and how clearly she explain the concept of her Therapy and her knowledge about her job. One of my students and I could go on and on but will stick to one student in particular. When he first started coming to school he did not know how to communicate to us so he would cry out of frustration and sometimes hits. Adriana worked her magic and that little boy went from crying and frustration to communicate to us by using his AAC device to tell us what he wanted. The parents was shock because they thought that thier son would never learn how to communicate but thanks to Adriana he learned how to communicate his needs and want. I have witness so many success stories with Adriana. I would not hesitate to recommend Adriana as a Spoech Terapist for my child or any other children that need Speech Therapy. She is one of the best!!
