A friend gifted me a membership here and I am so pleased. They are always friendly to me when I come around, and it really does feel like building community rather than just Doing Capitalism at each other. This is one of the only places that I can get local berries and grapes without any plastic. The produce is always so bright and delicious.
Though relatively reasonably priced (for some items) and conveniently located only a few blocks from my place, I made the decision to stop patronizing this co-op due to the broadcasting of their extreme, far-left viewpoints on pretty much every cultural polemic you could imagine with the posters dominating their front window.
Not to mention, several of the employees tended to have a rather pungent body odor that would permeate throughout a large radius near the registers all too often, which isn't exactly appealing to be forced to endure while grocery shopping...
It's a shame management here is unable and/or unwilling to focus solely on providing our community with healthy & affordable food instead of engaging in the toxic and extreme ideological activism contributing to the unnecessary polarization of society.
