I would advise you to ask them to soak off any acrylic nails that need to be removed before you start your appointment. If you don’t they will attempt to remove it forcefully by ripping it off.The nail technicians are very sweet and I had no problems getting a full set the previous visit I had but this time when I went in I ended up bleeding not even 2 minutes into my appointment. Instead of taking the time to soak it off, she tried to rip it off by trying to jam another acrylic nail tip under it,slipping and missing and then giving me a painful bloody cut under my natural nail. Then she made it worse by running a dremmel over the cut area right after. I got up and left after this and hope that in the future they will handle customers more gently and carefully. There were no other customers in the shop so it was very disappointing that they tried to rush the removal and injured my finger in the process.

I have been here several times over the past few years and have had nothing but good experiences. Sometimes they are overbooked, but I feel they are worth the wait! Always polite. They do a good job. They are a little bit pricey - the cost for a regular manicure has increased since the last time I visited (1yr ago). They do a warm towel wrap and a mini shoulder massage while they wait for your nails to dry, so I am more than willing to pay the extra cost!

I have been coming to Alderwood Nails for almost four years now. The service I receive is excellent. The shop is very clean and well appointed. The technicians working there are friendly and helpful. Amy, the owner, is truly one of the best. Highly recommend!
