Happy to see this Aldi location open. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The store is a bit on the smaller side buy well stocked. Prices are also great.

I've loved going to aldis in Newhall and was extremely excited to get one close to my home, but I've been seeing a concerning trend with the new store. It seems like every employee is over worked, stressed, tasked with 2 or more jobs needing to be done at the same time then when it's impossible to do so they get confronted by management in an unprofessional way. I was there when i saw 2 different employees quit because they couldn't handle the work load. I came in this morning seeing only a manager and a cashier, the manager was doing her best stocking the shelves while the cashier had to jump between the self check out and cashier position while also stocking shelves when no one was checking out. Neither of them had a time to breathe, and it shows in not just their exhausted expressions but the quality of food that is being stocked. I planned to buy meat this morning until I saw that most of it was a day before expiration and with some of them expiring today. Another concern was that all types of meat were stacked together, that's a health code violation to put raw chicken and beef in that close of contact, when i asked about this they said they didn't have enough shelves and that this was how Aldis wanted it. I am at no point saying this is a failure on the overworked employees who I see working through their breaks just to try and keep up with the management demands, im expressing that this is a failure on management for not hiring enough workers to sustain this store. If things do not change I don't see a future for this location which is a shame. I truly love the concept for Aldis, their efficient carts and shelving methods should lead to less work on their employees but all that efficiency is ruined when their aren't enough workers to run that efficient machine. I'd hope to see more employees to thin out the mountian of work I see and better management to guide their employees rather then berate them publicly for their impossible amount of tasks.

Love Aldi, and this one is brand new with lots of great produce, bakery and meat selections. The cashier was super helpful and lightning quick. Got a few seasonal Aldi finds. I'd recommend this store to anyone looking to save a few bucks and get groceries.
