After winning our small claims case against Aliso Creek (Saris Regis), we posted an honest review about our experience with the company, how we were robbed out of our security deposit, and how we ultimately won our small claims case against them. After leaving that review, we were promptly mailed a letter for a motion to dismiss the verdict from Josh the manager. In the motion he stated he hadn’t learned about the court date until after the verdict. This did not matter, as Josh is not the agent listed for Aliso Creek. Today was our court date and their argument they presented wasn't even their argument in the motion! They argued that we served them under the wrong company name but this argument had no merit and the motion to dismiss was denied. Personally, it felt this motion was done out of spite.
I say all this to say that the management for Aliso Creek are dishonest and unprofessional. This case could’ve easily been avoided if the company would’ve worked with us from the start. Fortunately, my girlfriend is vigilant and saved all emails, photos and videos. We were great tenants and left the apartment in much better shape than we received it. I leave this lengthy review not to be petty, but for these apartment companies to be held accountable for their misconduct and greed. Now the case against Saris Regis is on their public record as a loss. I hope with all sincerity that Saris Regis learns from this and makes internal changes that are more honest and compassionate toward their tenants.
