DO NOT BOOK THEM! Extremely disappointed with All Sounds. At first, it appeared to all be going well as they were the preferred vendor for the venues I used for my wedding ceremony and reception (Thee Olde Chapel and Loft 84 in downtown Riverside).
Danny started off as really communicative. I will say, he is NICE but that's the extent of it. Beware as he may give you a false sense of security. Let me start from the beginning:
I booked Danny probably 6 months in advance of my events. I paid the deposit and he assured me that he would be there for my rehearsal date. The week prior to rehearsal, I was the one to reach out to confirm that he would be in attendance, and he told me he double booked. He did not even have a replacement and he did not even proactively reach out to me letting me know. Not to mention, my chapel coordinator was confused as well since "Danny always come to rehearsal" in her words.
Danny was unable to find a stand-in for him, so after some conversation he left us with some of his back up equipment at the venue so that we could setup and test it ourselves, which was awful. The singers did not have equipment that functioned properly for rehearsal (the audio quality was poor on the mics, the music wouldn't play loud at the proper levels) - hence we PAID a professional DJ to handle this. When we brought this to Danny's attention, he made sure that everything would be PERFECT the day of. This was a special audio track that I sent to him in advance. Mind you, the singers made this track for their octave, different than the original sound track that can be found online. This will be important later.
I had asked him prior to our event, if there would be lapels available for our officiant, our special singers, etc. He said, "no we switched to handheld wireless microphones about seven weddings ago and it's just MUCH better." This will be important later.
I also asked for confirmation of the connection type of his a/v equipment so our videographers could connect to his audio for the best sound quality. This will be important later as well.
The week of the wedding, we had a lengthy phone conversation overviewing the order of events, which songs would be queued where, etc. He sounded like he was on top of it, so I felt confident. This will be important later.
FAST FOWARD TO THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING.
Everything is going great from my perspective. My husband and I opted out of "first look" photos so we had less than an hour to do our couple's photos between the ceremony and reception. I'm an event planner, so I had everything planned out to the minute. Myself, my entire family, our wedding party of 16 people, and all the guests of honor were all on time and ready to go. Everything was on time. We started the ceremony 25 minutes late because "there were issues with the lapel mics" which I was told as I was standing in a back room just literally waiting to walk down the aisle. Spoiler alert, we only got a few photos of us on our wedding later because of the DJ.
Why were there lapels? I thought the handheld mics were the choice now for the last "seven weddings he did"
The videographers were UNABLE to pick up the audio on his equipment, compromising the quality of our video now. We had all the correct wires, adapters etc. It was Danny's equipment that would not work with what we had.
Time for the singers to perform during our unity candle portion of the ceremony. The music was not queued. After a minute, the music started. The DJ played an instrumental version of the song that was THREE OCTAVES HIGHER than the song I sent. My guess is he found it on YouTube & didn't use the file I sent.
The unfortunate part of all of this, is that I texted Danny a few weeks after the event once things were settled asking if we could schedule a call to discuss some items because I was really disappointed with how things were conducted at the wedding. His response is that he had time to chat on Monday (which was 5 days away). Just really disappointing that he still could not prioritize me as a customer.
We had our wedding this past Sunday and Danny was literally the best DJ we could have asked for. He was enthusiastic, attentive, kind, could read the crowd and over all went above and beyond for our wedding and guest. We are so thankful to have had him be our DJ for the night and wouldn’t change a thing about it. Danny- if you’re reading this you are awesome, amazing and thank you for bringing the exact atmosphere we wanted to our wedding!
