I don’t even think I’ll have enough space, nor the perfect words to explain how much I for once, loved my experience at the dentist and it was all because of the team at Alliance Dental. In the past, I’d been shamed and embarrassed at a dental office to the point of tears (not the good kind) imagining how much worse they were talking about me the second I was out the door as he basically laughed in my face about the work I needed done at age 30. I felt at a loss, and then I was then told about Alliance dental in Quincy, and with my union SEIU 888 it seemed like the best option for me. I am still in awe at just how amazing they turned out to be.

My situation worsened and with the pandemic cancellations were expected, but I really needed work done. I called and both girls at the front desk, Nessy and Adell are so efficient and got back to me right away. Dr. Novy called me not only was he kind, he had a great sense of humor and also empathy for my past situation, I knew this was no ordinary dentist office. They got me ready for a telehealth appointment where we could discuss options and they listened, asked questions, really actually tried to get down to what the problem was.. and they never once made me feel ashamed. I felt like I was talking to a group of friends I’d known forever, but you know really intelligent, funny, and ready to really help me feel normal again. Julie, a hygienist at alliance, really was more than I expected from someone who barely knew me.. she was an angel, she checked in on me, called, texted, kept me updated, she was the mental support I needed during an honestly emotional process.As a 911 operator, hardly anyone asks us how we are, Julie is incredibly caring & compassionate. I was willing to go out of my way to get a Covid test so I could get in to speed the process along, mostly because I also really cared for the safety of all these angels who were a source of light to me in a really difficult time. Hong did my x-rays, she was also so accommodating and was so easy going to talk to! I had never had 3D and 2D x-rays (she was so quick and efficient I was in and out) they have the most updated, clean, 21st CENTURY dentist office I was amazed walking in, it was like HGTV designed it absolutely beautiful. Dr. Novy, the chief dentist, and his assistant Kathy had me come in so they could get my teeth ready they again had this brand new equipment to get my teeth ready to have a lab create the perfect bridge to fit where I needed extractions. This office is trained so well, this isn’t your 1990’s dentist where you’re sitting with goop for impressions and a 40 pound x-ray vest nearly choking on the tools you bite, they're the future of dentistry it’s convenient, accurate, they want you to look perfect, it seems too good to be true but THEY ARE TOO GOOD! Dr. Novy also has a personality that puts you at ease and also has you laughing, enjoying the dentist, for me thats literally never happened. Finally, the day came and Dr. Kennedy, the hygienist Olivia and assistant Katie were there today to wrap up the best dental experience of a life time. Dr. Kennedy and Olivia were like hanging out with two of your best friends you hadn’t seen in a while completely knocking my nerves and anxiety off to the side while they worked their butts off cleaning my teeth like I’d never had them cleaned, their methods and updated takes on modern dentistry were amazing to be a part of. Olivia has my teeth feeling cleaner, healthier, and the experience was awesome (she has a bomb playlist while she works!) Dr. Kennedy felt like more than a dentist, she had so much knowledge in many different areas tying it into dentistry. I was done with cleaning, numbed, ready for the extractions and my new teeth/bridge. When it was done, Dr. Kennedy had tears and I cried, HAPPY TEARS this time. I didn’t hate looking at my smile anymore, I didn’t hate looking in the mirror for the first time in a long time. Also, they have a support dog like this place couldn’t get any more awesome! Team work really does make the dream work.
