My experience with Dr. Ammara Gill, appointed as my family member's oncologist during a challenging battle with cancer, has unfortunately been marked by a notable lack of empathy and commitment. Crucial information, such as the PET scan results, was never directly communicated by her, leading to their discovery during an emergency room visit, which subsequently initiated chemotherapy.
In the hospital, Dr. Gill opted for a phone call over a scheduled in-person appointment about a week later, callously deciding against continuing with chemotherapy. However, we are grateful for the intervention of emergency room doctors and another oncologist in the department who disagreed with her assessment, ensuring the continuation of chemotherapy and other essential treatments.
Regrettably, based on this experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend Dr. Gill's services, not even to my worst enemy. For those facing the challenges of cancer, I strongly advise against choosing her as an oncologist, as her approach has the potential to profoundly affect one's spirit.
