AmWest has been a huge player in the Non-QM mortgage industry and I recently have had the opportunity to work with them.
My account Executive, Annie Chang, and her amazing team member Brenda Fernandez, are excellent at communication, speedy responses, and knowledgeable at their wholesale products. As a Mortgage Officer, AmWest and Annie's team have done such a spectacular job in getting all of my clients' loans to the closing table on time, and with ease.
Has anyone ever investigated if this is a real business? I'm currently refinancing and AmWest reps keep asking me for bigger and bigger Principal Reduction checks. They ask for cashier's checks.
It sounded like business as usual at first but this last request I got noted that a personal check would be fine. This feels like I'm getting scammed.
