I wish more people can come visit this place and understand what hardships and discrimination our earlier generations had suffered through.
I can’t imagine many of us today are tough enough to go through what they endured.

We went on a field trip there and it was awesome. A lot of walking so we grabbed walking sticks and proceeded. Bill the volunteer who was our guide was very knowledgeable and so very friendly. He had a very personal connection to the immigration center. Please go and do the tour. It was well worth it. We had a blast. The ferry ride over was so cool as well.

It's free, something to do while on Angel Island and easy enough to get to. I'm glad there's some history being kept but overall the barracks are a better exhibit and worth the $5. No real wait, but also not much really that much to see. I'd recommend it if you're already on Angel Island.
