Went on Saturday, the place is a ghost town, empty storefronts, no pedestrians. On a Saturday angels Camp used to be a great place to go explore. Guess covid killed it?

We love the downtown area, with its historic buildings and rich history. If you've ever read the The Celebrated Frog of Calaveras County by Mark Twain, then you should visit Angel's Camp. If you ever want to experience the frog jumping competition in person, venture here on the third weekend in May and head over to the Calaveras County Fair grounds. There's something there for everyone, from indoor activities to the main competition held in the outdoor frog jump arena. If frog jumping and history aren't your thing, then you should check out the lakes and stream that are all near by.

Not much here and everything was closed. The visitors center and museum was the best part.
