The sales people are liars. They told me I could return my refurbished phone for the iPhone 16, which was a lie I discovered too late and $800 later.
Do your homework and ONLY shop online where reps are informed and not trying to hit sales quotas.
I haven’t been to the Irvine Apple Store in a long time but went today to check out iPads plus had a Genius Bar appointment. That appointment went fine and the tech was super nice but this review isn’t about that, but not receiving any help while I was at the iPad table for 35 minutes. The store wasn’t that busy and some of the employees were standing around talking to each other. In the past an employee would come up and ask me if I needed help so I thought maybe that had changed and you needed to make an appointment to talk to someone about the products. I contacted Apple directly to ask and she said anyone could have helped me without an appointment considering it wasn’t busy. She did put in a report to the Feedback team as she said not helping me wasn’t the way it should be.
In years past I knew a few of the employees and if it wasn’t busy and they saw me looking at products they would come up on their own and ask me if I needed help or had any questions. So that has always been my experience. Today was just the opposite and even when I did ask a question the employee answered but then left to go and talk to two other employees.
Times have changed and I am older now and sometimes you feel like you are invisible to the younger generation. Sad but true, yet hoping no other customer has to go through this. Because of this I decided not to buy the iPad Pro at this store but it purchase online.
