Previously you could go to an Apple Store and someone would help within 5-10 minutes. Now it takes 45 minutes to an hour. I went to the Palo Alto Apple Store yesterday, and gave up after waiting 45 minutes. Today I checked in, was told that someone would help me within 30 minutes, and left in frustration after 1 hour.
Unless you have to speak with someone in person, I'd recommend purchasing online, or purchase another computer brand from a company whose customer service is better.
Apple has entered enshitification. The famed simplicity of design is gone. They have so crapped up their products you can no longer find features, offering stupid mindless choices that just get in the way of function.. Just tried to update a credit card in Apple. Over and over again, the window cuts off and will not allow you to see the entire form. Can't scroll up or down. And it's an Apple form! Google (Apple was illegally paying Google billions to make Chrome the default browser). Google the solutions. Scan down to Apple support since they now crap it up with AI answers which are almost always wrong, read their support and I'm suppose to click on the edges of the box to expand. doesn't work. click a corner. doesn't work. Typical now. Even Apple support can't figure out their own products. Bought the Apple clear, no discoloration phone protector (hey Apple it's bad design if you have to add stuff to protect your easily breakable product). It's yellowing. Supposed to never crack. It cracked. And the new phone has AI! Ohh, there's something to make your life worse and give you wrong answers. They spent billions on a probabilistic word processor which feeds on and steals your private info.
My sales rep knew a lot but was very pushy about certain products, add-ons after I politely said no thanks, she kept on pushing the product. I went with a buying mindset but I don't like when I'm pushed so I decided to go to another store where my wishes are respected.
