The drain tube was clogged in my refrigerator and the manufacturer's website stated that it needed to be cleared by a factory certified service company. The only option listed on their website was Appliance Hospital. When the technician came out, he told me the cost would be $466. I commented that was expensive, but I reluctantly agree to pay the high price, thinking there must be extensive work involved to clear the drain tube or it was difficult to access. The technician then took a steamer with a thin nozzle to a small hole in the back of the fridge and was done in less than a minute. I was surprised that was all it took to fix the clog. The technician gave me the price quote knowing how simple and quick the fix was going to be. I felt like I was being taken advantage of. I called the office to request the cost be reduced and was told there would be no cost reduction since I had agreed to pay that amount and also because my refrigerator was a higher end brand, they charge more. What a disappointing experience I had with Appliance Hospital.
*Update: I spoke with Steve at Appliance Hospital on 09/06/24 and he explained that my job was coded improperly and gave me a credit of $136. I appreciated the effort to make it right, it has restored my faith in this company.

Our washer was leaking a tiny bit on big loads. We had a technician come out and he ordered parts to replace the suspension. After he did that, our washer leaked all over our bathroom floor. He came back out and said it was fine. I just ran it again and it leaked all over the bathroom floor again. We paid $466 for this. Now we are just going to see what the company will do for us and get a new washer.
Update after company response: thank you for your response. We have called the company phone line multiple times and had not heard that a refund had been approved. I will update my star rating once we get confirmation of a refund. Thank you!
Update part 2: the company refunded us the $270 from the suspension installation. I have added one star back to my review. Luckily we did not have any lasting water damaged and got a new washer that has been working well.
