I wish I could rate Arbor Rose higher than the 5 Star rating that's available. I've been so fortunate and blessed to have found Arbor Rose over two years ago. My very special Ellie was in a large facility that was owned by big corporation. Needless to say, bottom line was All they cared about. The memory care facility was in full failure. Neglect, bruising, very smelly, and the food wasn't palatable let alone healthy. When I challenged anything that was of concern they just put me off, most of the time with a lie. Arbor Rose was finally suggested by our nurses advocate. A room came available and we went to check it out. I was so amazed in the night and day difference. Just walking in the door. NO stinky smells. Wow. Clients were up and in recliners watching TV not in bed all the time. Steve Andrews, the owner, and being a nurse, runs a tight ship. Twenty-four hour awake staff, very clean and Taven the manager is on top of everything. You can tell that she truly loves what she does there and that's why she does such a good job. Compassion is the word to describe Taven. During the past couple of years I've watched a number of people come through wanting jobs, get the strict training, and I have to say, many don't get past that and continue as an Arbor Rose employee. I appreciate this in regards to, I want only the sincere taking care of my Ellie. Many are there for the paycheck, not at Arbor Rose. I know it seems I'm painting a "Rosie picture" of Arbor Rose, but I wouldn't have Ellie any place else. I visit her for three hours twice a week, so I am very aware of kind and professional care she receives. THANK YOU ARBOR ROSE Esther Long
