The Arcata Ridge Trail is a wonderful place to get out into nature without having to really leave town. With miles of offshoot trails and and many access points throughout Arcata you could return day after day for weeks without repeating the same path.

Another journey into the heart of reckless socialism where previously gated off land have been open to everyone out for a nice walk, bike or horse ride. The tyranny is palpable the moment you get to the first bridge, forcibly erected by a government out of control, to allow people in FOR FREE who would otherwise have to get jobs and buy the land themselves. Freeloaders abound as you walk through the fern filled alder and redwood groves, smiling and being friendly instead of chasing trespassers away. Thanks Obama!
