This past Christmas, I purchased a gift certificate at the Arthur Murray Studio in Redlands for my wife. Some years back, we'd talked about learning how to dance. She was nervous at first, but everyone was so warm and welcoming that she enjoyed the experience. The gift certificate was for one private, one public, and one party based class. Since we were having a great time, we purchased another batch of lessons. After those were over, we decided to engage in a longer term program.
I read in one of the reviews below that the staff acted like car salesmen. Maybe that was how it was under the previous owners. I don't know. My experiences were with Drew and Marcia, who are the franchisees, and Jesse, Michelle, and Luis, who are instructors. From our first meeting until we finished with our first batch of classes, no one tried to hard sell me even once. Of course, they are salespeople. They have a product (dancing skills) that they want to sell you, but they were courteous, conscientious, and competent. Those attributes sell themselves.
I have recommended to friends to check out the studio, and I will continue to recommend it to others.
