UPDATE: We finally used our credit and overall, glad that we did. The photos turned out beautifully. During the session, we found her to not be personable so it made the session feel awkward. She didn't bother to try to learn my kids names. I know that sounds weird, but we spent a couple hours together and thought she would have at least asked our names. While she is a good photographer, I felt like she didn't want to take the time to meet her customers. The session did not feel organic, so I am relieved that the photos turned out well.
I'm giving 3 stars, because to be fair, we were unable to get her services. We had a newborn session scheduled with deposit paid. Baby came 2 weeks early, and I immediately notified the photographer. Understandably, she is unable to do our photos because of restrictions of the coronavirus. We were going to push the session out a couple weeks but she wouldn't exactly be a newborn then and there's still high risk that the stay at home order will be extended anyways. We only wanted a newborn session, so we asked for a refund given that the cancellation is not our fault. The photographer has declined to give us our refund, knowing we only wanted the newborn session and didn't want to transfer our deposit to any other session. I feel like this is unprofessional and overall rude of the photographer to keep our deposit over something we have no control over like covid19.
