LIGHTS, SOUND AND ACTION!!! I took my Mom to this play last night for her birthday surprise. Nostalgia is one word that comes to mind; having been taken to the Plays in Ashland OR. as a child. I must say that I have waited years for a local experience like this! I want to give a HUGE round of applause to all hands, from Director; Denise Derk, Stage Manager Michael Killingbeck to Tech, Cameron Meline and behind the scenes Macgyver, David Derk. It was clear that all parties involved delivered beyond expectation! The theater (in Cottonwood) itself is a venue of intimate and upscale treasure! In a moment you feel whisked away as though you traveled to a city afar. Simple yet elegant from props to costumes and everything in between. The ARTS Theatre didn't miss a beat. I laughed and at times felt the urge to cry, so close I could reach out and touch the emotion. Most of all the expression and execution of these talented actors (Jennifer Levens, Brian Valentine and Chad MacFarlane) proved that you don't need a big stage to be blown away! If there is anything I can say to urge you to not miss this show let it be said. SO glad our northstate has been blessed with a little culture! KEEP THEM COMING!!!!
