I Came to the store on July 27 to buy a sofa for my guest room. Paid over $1,400 and added all the insurance. I waiting for 2 weeks for the sofa to arrive. The driver came and without taking the sofa out of the truck, he said that the sofa wouldnt fit through the door. We went back to the store, bought a smaller sofa paid close to $2,000 so $600 more. The salesman told us that there shouldn't be any problem now as the sofa is smaller. Waited 2 weeks, the driver came and again without taking the sofa off the truck said, the sofa wouldn't fit. We went back to the store and asked for a refund, they told us that their Home Office would process the refund. We got back the money from the sofa back but not the delivery fee. When asked why we need to pay a delivery fee if the driver didn
t deliver anything, their response was " he attempted to". So getting out of the truck looking at a door and saying "wouldn't fit" after the salesman told us that it would fit, is an attempt. Easy money for a lazy driver. Just 2 FYI;
My wife and I purchased a sectional sofa from Ashley's about 13 years ago. We love it.. but after 13 years the cushions are looking a little worse for wear. Rather than buying a new sectional we went online and found that they still had this model. Great!! We contacted them and no matter who we talked to they said they could not help us unless we had the receipt from our original purchase. We went so far us to return to the store that we purchased it from and they also did not have a record of it after all this time. It's sad, they are only willing to sell us new cushions if we can provide the receipt. It's not like we want to warranty this. We are prepared to buy new but they are not willing to sell us unless we provide the receipt. Pretty sad!! Needless to say we won't be doing business with Ashley's furniture in the future.
