This was a weird charge from the get-go. Terrible billing system, sent to collections. Services were provided on April of 2021. I had an emergency room visit and they tacked this fee on, said it was the physician on emergency duty, separate charge, something, something? AEP stated I received TWO notifications (by mail) one in July of which I made a payment of $50, (mistake for not paying the entire bill, just had many med bills rolling in) the other statement they said was sent in August, I don't think I received it. The entire bill was just over $200 and they shipped me off to collections without further contact? And, when speaking to an AEP person about the misunderstanding last week she claimed it was taken out of collections only to find it wasn't taken out of collections and there wasn't any record of the phone call according to the most recent chat with AEP. This person also claimed there were many AEP billing issues within the company when they either hired a new group or were using a new system. Plus, very difficult to get through to an actual person. Paid my chunk today through Puget Sound collection agency not happy about being sent to collections but otherwise calling it good. Don't hire this billing group. Frustrated and moving forward from this long rant. Universal Healthcare please!

This place sent me to collections when I never got a bill. I told the collections company I had insurance and that they had my address wrong and they still kept the bill in collections after the bill was only a couple months old. A year later, they get paid, I have a balance and the collections company is still calling. When asked why it was still in collections when it was never supposed to go in the first place because I didn't get a bill and they had the wrong information, no of which was my fault and the hospital had my correct information because I got all other bills. The lady at the collections company said she will just put it on my credit report even after I stated it should have been sent back to the orinigal company. I think Associated doesn't try to collect, because they never called me, and they just send everyone to collections.
