My wife and I visited Atwater Vineyards at the recommendation of another winery owner, and we were so happy we came by for a tasting. We met with George, who was so knowledgeable about the wines and enriched our tasting experience. Getting to enjoy the wines is one thing, but we both love to learn about the wines, the process, history, region, and the other factors that go into the making of the wines themselves. We learned so much from George.
Many of the whites were fantastic, but I particularly enjoyed their new 2023 Riesling, and we also liked the Pinot Gris (not a wine we have very often). We also purchased bottles of the Cabernet Franc and the Chardonnay Reserve. My wife is not normally a fan of Chardonnay, so the fact that she enjoyed it that much speaks volumes.
The view is also fantastic. We truly enjoyed our visit and we loved George's hat so much, we bought ones for ourselves as well.
