I am so incredibly disappointed in the lack of customer service I received from who I presume was the owner himself. I called prior to coming in, my father recently passed, and I found some very old brass and silver clocks that belonged to my grandparents and great grandparents, that were not in working condition. I explained the situation and their condition to the owner on the phone before coming in, and he told me to bring them in for a look. When I arrived, I set the clocks on the counter, he immediately looked at them and told me they were trash. And I quote “Just throw them in the trash, they’re worthless” At first, I thought he was joking, but no, he was quite serious in his response. He said parts for these clocks were no longer made and that was that. I think the part that is most upsetting to me is that he brushed my clocks off so quickly, without even a second thought to try and find the parts to repair them. When I asked if he could give me a recommendation for another shop, he told me not to bother because they could not be repaired. My clocks are not worth thousands of dollars like the others that fill your shop, but they have sentimental value for which I was willing to pay to have them repaired and restored. I decided to get a second and or third opinion if needed, I made two phone calls, to the two other shops right here in Issaquah. After which I made it over to Sierra repairs inside of the Fred Meyer’s. It has been almost two weeks since I have dropped my clocks off, and the owner has exhausted all efforts to find new parts and is now working on finding the same clocks to purchase and swap parts out to restore mine.
Mister Aubrey. You should really be more considerate with what you call trash. A simple, “this is more work than I care to take on” would have been sufficient.
