I had my dress pressed by Bethany. Since I had extra fabric left over from the alterations she also made some scrunchies for my bridesmaids from it! She even was able to do normal srunchies and "skinny" scrunchies (more hair tie like) which were super cute and a great bridesmaid gift. Bethany made sure to give me instructions to keep my dress perfect until my wedding day, and she was super fast at responding to emails!

I didn’t realize I was into veils until I tried one on while wedding dress shopping. Then once I found my dream dress Charlotte’s hosted a trunk show with August Veils. I got to try on multiple veils to find the perfect one for my dress for my minimony and my bigger wedding. I loved the Bella veil for my minimony; it was timeless and retro with a satin edge. I loved the Stella veil for my bigger wedding dress; it was dramatic and covered in little pearls. I got both cleaned and preserved, but I wish I could live in my veils. They’re such fine material but so securely attached to the comb without excess material, and the comb was metal and big enough to stay very secure in my hair. I also got the Deanna Pearl pins for my hair decorations and used them for both weddings. Bethany was great to work with and helped make my dress-shopping experience wonderful and easy.

I feel so lucky to live in a city that has it's very own vintage veil expert! After finding an antique cathedral length lace veil on Etsy, I needed help to make it realistically wearable. Bethany at August Veils brought my vision to life. She reshaped the internal structure to sit properly on my head and frame my face. She also installed sturdy clips. Despite the weight of such a long & dramatic veil, it was comfortable & didn't budge at all. Most importantly, Bethany was extremely professional and thorough. She patiently taught me how to put on the veil and store it correctly. Her skill and guidance made what was initially an intimidating accessory into a totally wearable and show stopping part of my wedding outfit.
