Valerie was the most helpful and pleasant soul I have encountered post pandemic 😷, she’s so so … too good for that company for sure! 👍🏻 her work ethics isn’t fake or for show. I’ve worked retail for over 18 years, if I had my own company I’d want 3-4 of her and not have to worry about anything 🙏🏻god bless her and Autozone is lucky / blessed to have a brain and heart like that.

This morning I went to buy a battery for my car and the gentleman that helped me was extremely helpful and nice. He didn't have to help me as much as he did but was more than willing to help me and I am forever grateful as this is something I had never had to do or could have done on my own. Recently, my car was stolen so I've been driving a 30 year old car that did not pass a smog check due to a couple of hose issues. Because my car is so old, I couldn't find the replacement hoses! I was so stressed out - didn't have my nice car anymore and then couldn't get the only car I have to pass a smog test! I went to Autozone and there was a young man named Chris B./C.J who was helping someone else. He had several other customers waiting and on top of that, there were 2 other employees asking for his help to help their customers. It was very apparent that Chris B./C.J is relied on by his fellow employees and the customers due to his expertise. I didn't want to bother him because so many people were needing his help but he told me he would help me as soon as he finished with everyone before me. Eventually, it was my turn and I explained my problem. C.J. confirmed the hoses I needed are sooner available due to the age of my car. I'm not even kidding when I say this - I almost cried. I had just had my nice car stolen and now have to drive a super old one. I had to pay so much to even get my old car in running condition. I wanted to cry because at the time this happened, I was dealing with so many things and my stress levels were astronomical. C.J. was being pulled in a million different directions and still took so much time to help me. He had to go in and out of the store several times to try and find compatible hoses. He cut them and made them work and I was able to pass the smog check! C.J. did not have to go so above and beyond to help me. I know he didn't. But he did and he really saved me from spending a fortune somewhere else. I didn't even share all the things I was dealing with. He just helped me and was so kind and patient. I don't know how he isn't the store manager there or at another store somewhere because he really deserves the promotion. His customer service skills were amazing. I used to supervise a customer service center for a governmental agency and if I was still working at that location, I would have offered him a job on the spot! I truly hope that the local Autozone Manager AND corporate knows what an exceptional employee they have. I tried to tip C.J. and he refused it saying they are not allowed to accept tips! I wish he was because he really and truly saved me and he took away so much of my stress! With a grateful heart, Monique Mares.
