We’ve been training with Marth for 2 years now. Dog training is one of those things that I never fully understood how important it is for a happy non-reactive dog.
We’ve trained two dogs with Marth, a young GSD who started at 6 months and middle aged chihuahua with reactivity and impulse control issues.
First off, not only is Marth teaching the dog, he also teaches us how to interact with our dogs in a way that I can only describe as mutual respect. The dogs respond to us and developed near perfect recall and all basic commands like heel, sit, wait, down, etc.
We get complements all of the time on how respectful our dogs are. Specifically for the GSD, we don’t have issues with friends or family volunteering to dog sit for us because they’re not afraid of him. He’s confident, loving, and respects people and children. We were even able to teach him to respect our chickens which is a huge win.
The chihuahua has gone from pulling and lunging on the leash to a calm and confident guy who minds his own business cuz he’s focused on us.
We’ll continue to train with Marth as he rolls out new classes or group sessions or anytime there’s something we need to work on, as it’s obvious how much return for in investment these sessions have been so far.
