Unfortunately, Josh was extremely unprofessional to work with and did not complete our simple door frame repair project in the estimated budget or time. He was always late, sometimes up to 5 hours from the agreed upon start time and then worked until 9:30pm at night in our residential unit, making loud noises throughout without awareness or concern for the residents around us. He damaged our hardwood floors and spilled paint in various places that he did not clean up. He went over triple of the estimated costs and started harassing and threatening me when I didn’t immediately pay the day he sent me a new invoice and demanded a new retainer before finishing the project.
I asked him calmly to come over and discuss the damages to the property I observed and he immediately became angry and proceeded to send me threatening emails and messages and refused to acknowledge the damages or discuss them until I paid him another $900.
He put over $400 of office time on the invoice for a simple door frame repair and was sending me ridiculously long emails at 1am and charging me $130 an hour for hours it took to write them.
He will nickel and dime you for ever possible extra charge and turn a simple project into one with thousands of dollars of exorbitant extra costs. I wish I listened to bad reviews on here and regret not using better judgement when something felt off about him. He is not a competent carpenter or professional business owner and is someone who will try to take advantage of you in every way possible and even cause property damage during his carpentry work. His hourly prices are outrageously high for the poor quality and left of professionalism he exhibits. I hope no one else has to experience what we went through in working with Josh on a simple repair project.
