My wife and I visited Baby & Me for the first time yesterday and were quite impressed with the store. It's a locally-owned business, which we love supporting over the big-box US retailers. We had the pleasure of meeting the store owner, who was very friendly and personable.

We purchased a box of herbal tea for home use. However, when we got to the checkout, the point of sale system incorrectly charged GST on the item, which should be zero-rated with a 0% GST rate. When I pointed this out, the cashier became defensive and said, "this is what the system shows, it's not able to be changed."

It was unfortunate that such a positive experience turned sour at the cash register. I hope the store can train its cashiers to call over the owner or a manager to resolve issues like this in the future. Additionally, consulting a CPA to ensure the correct excise tax rules are applied to each item could prevent similar situations.

Overall, the store has potential, and with some improvements in handling customer concerns, it could be a great place to shop.

This was probably one of the best experiences I have had in while in regards to customer service , knowledge, help and honesty .

I drive past the store everytime I’m in Kelowna, and I’m due in August with my first so decided it was time to start looking for items I needed . I walked in to just have a look and get an idea what I needed. The ladies at the front were so welcoming and directed me to the big items I was interested in learning about ( strolller and car seats) . There was no pressure to buy, she just gave me ALL THE INFO I needed and she based it off of my lifestyle and what would work best for me. I have been so overwhelmed with the options available out there.

Let’s just say this was the easiest experience and I walked out with the perfect stroller and car seat based off of my needs.
