We ordered the special which was pulled pork, bacon, cheddar cheese and apple slaw. It normally comes on a bun, but we eat a low carb diet, so they put it on a bed of greens for us. It also came with a choice of sides, which we decided to "taste" the corn muffin and I tried the Jalapeno slaw, my wife "cheated" and tried the fries with the house fry dip.
We loved the Special (I forget the name of it) especially on the bed of greens. I also enjoyed the Jalapeno slaw, but didn't really get any sense of jalapenos in it at all. My wife also couldn't taste any. We were both hesitant to taste the muffins, especially since we discovered they are served cold. We sampled them but they were not really very unique, or worth eating, so we declined after the initial taste. (Who serves muffins cold? - Butter will NOT melt.) My wife's fries were standard frozen fries...they were also served cold. Not appealing at all! We tried the house sauce and really enjoyed that, but again, the fries were cold!
I think this BBQ would do well to invest in a microwave and/or some steam tables. The food was generally tasty, but serving everything cold is a huge turn off. When we were in they only had a few other tables of customers, so it wasn't like they were busy or anything. Start serving hot food, and I'll gladly come back!
(Edit to respond to Steven) - I said above we enjoyed the BBQ. It was NOT horrible, just that the food was cold. Invest in some Steam Tables and Microwaves. Maybe make real corn bread with real Jalapenos. Your BBQ Pork itself was very good. I am a "smoker" myself, so I am giving you high praise indeed. But cold food will not help you grow your business.
