Been patronizing this business for almost 15 years, they have competitive prices and have always done good work. Dave’s customer service has never been anything to get excited about but I don’t need any special treatment, happy to just do business and get back to work. I don’t mind loading or unloading my own tires if staff is busy and I’ve never been offended when I pay my bill without a thank you or a smile or if Dave doesn’t rise from his chair behind the counter, no judgment there either, maybe he’s just tired or injured or something. Last week I had tires (on rims) put on and noticed a little noise on the way to family gathering in town afterwards but no big deal. Then on the 30 min drive home it got worse and worse. My husband drove it and said he suspected CV/axle (we had been wondering) and we jumped the gun and order the part the following day. Finally contacted my mechanic, did the car drop off and waited for the verdict. Mechanic called me at work the next day to say the wheel was not properly mounted and was about to fall off, that’s it. He said one of the stud mounts was broken off and it was a good thing I wasn’t on the freeway with it. Said it looked as if the tire wasn’t seated properly before it was tightened down. Everson NAPA let me return the part no problem (they are always so helpful) and I got another follow to the mechanic and got my car back. Went to Bailey’s the next day and suuuuuper nicely let them know what happened. Just all like, stupidly nice, hey no problem but this happened and it was sort of annoying but I’m so non-confrontational just don’t worry about it you guys are great and can you still switch my other rims out (I’m just going to let it go and still use your business). Dave (I believe he’s the owner) just stared blankly at me from behind the counter where he had been chatting with a friend, hands clasped behind his head and feet up on the counter. Nothing. Not one word. Just stared at me til I started to squirmed and left. Not ONE iota of concern, let alone an apology or the least amount of accountability. SO disappointing to be treated like that. I get that everyone makes mistakes (turns out my boss had a problem there few days earlier) but that’s nothing to me next to being treated with no respect, just one human to another. Silly me giving him he benefit of the doubt all these years, often times feeling like I was a nuisance for even stopping by to do business. Found out later Dave was the one who worked on my car. Done with that place.
