Cozy new bookshop in the heart of Ballard, with newer books (< 200 years) up front and an antiquarian museum in the back. Books are well-selected and in excellent condition. I left with Lakeside Press “Forty Years as a Fur Trader”, a second book on the frontier Indian wars, and a short wish-list of some rarities for next time. Best wishes for this fine shop.

We’re very excited to have this bookstore opening in Ballard! The space is very cozy and include a wide range of topics. We’re pretty old-school when it comes to books. We love the feel and sound of turning the pages. The ability to inscribe on the inner cover for a gift. It’s great to find sand in it from the beach or a leaf from the forest. Not to mention all the fun bookmarks we’ve collected over the years. When was the last time you put a cool bookmark in your tablet? Not to mention the visual and the sharing aspects of a book. Technology is great for some things, but for us we’ll stick to real tangible books!
