I have never felt compelled to leave a review at any establishment, but after today I need someone to hear this. My father (87yrs) and I walked in to the BofA on ponderosa for a simple transaction. All we needed was a notary to notarize a special legal document. Now my family has been doing business with BofA for well over 50 yrs, as far back as my childhood. This young man that greeted us asked if he could help out. We told him all we needed was a notary republic to notarize a document and he said he was that guy. Great, can we proceed with this procedure. No he said, he has appointments and we would have to make one. Mind you there are but two people in the bank and they’re at the teller booth. I told him this will take 10 mins and he said he could schedule us for later tomorrow possibly. I said sir, there are only two other clients in the bank and they are being tended to. He was a bit snarky at this point and mentioned he doesn’t care for my tone. Seriously! That’s when Dad said let’s go and we walked out. Customer service 101! maybe this guy needs to revisit the class soon. Thirty eight years in the grocery wholesale business, I would never treat a customer with anything less than respect and dignity. This guy never even went to his office to check his scheduling calendar to see if he could fit us in within the next hour or two.
Met with Alex Montgomery and opened a business checking account. Alex was a very nice guy to work with.
We ordered a unique debit card design to distinguish from out other checking account. Wrong color cards were sent in the mail. No way to correct online. Hour wait for BofA customer service Phone line after being funneled through an endless series if computer voice prompts. Called the branch where we sat across from Alex a week ago and they said no Alex works there. And of course, they could not re-order the right cards over the phone. They recommended we make another in-branch appointment to correct. Appointment took over an hour last time. And of course the branch that used to be open on Saturdays that’s 1 minute away from my home is now closed on Saturdays, if we want an open branch it’s now a drive across town. Horrible customer experience.....
