A customer asked why there was only one teller for such a busy branch, the manager answered that's what all the banks are moving to. I left after 45 minutes in line without even reaching the counter. Most people don't want to spend 45 minutes in line at a bank. They are probably stopping off on our way home from work or during their lunch hour. They don't have the time and luxury to stand and wait our entire lunch hour. I saw two people leave before I finally gave up.
I went to a different branch later and found more than one teller working and the line moved quickly. The management really needs to figure out staffing and better ways to cut costs instead of making their customers so mad they walk out. Not the best way to retain your customers.
