Dirty, bugs and huge rat traps….charged for smoking when we absolutely did not smoke. The clerk even came up to the because the smoke detector went off in the middle of the night, he said “gee it doesn’t smell like smoke “ BECAUSE WE DONT SMOKE. The pictures online don’t show what you are really getting, don’t stay here. It’s nasty and gross. Loud noise from the freeway, bad service, housekeeping came in and tossed our room, we think stole our medication and didn’t even service the room. I would give it zero stars but that’s not an option.

Motel is right by the freeway and behind it is the hospital. It is very noisy until about 10pm. Doors do not seal real well, so light , noise and smells aren't kept out. Rooms are no smoking but smoking hut is located at the north of the building so if you get a room close by you pretty much have a smoking smell in your room. We had 3 rooms. Floors were a little dirty, 1 room definately had dogs in it because we had hair everywhere. 1 room didn't have bed skirts and the box springs had some brown stains on them. The rooms have been updated and updates are nice. If your going to fairgrounds or downtown area it is walking distance. Our reservation was messed up even though it was made personally over the phone (not by computer) we asked for 3 king rooms on the ground floor. We got 2 kings and a double, so check and double check your reservation prior to check in. It wasn't a bad place to stay (I've stayed in way worse) but not worth the $200+ we spent too stay there.

Looking for quality hotels under $200 a night between Seattle and Olympia is quite a challenge as time continues. It seems each year the elements of social decay have made looking for a hotels, that are being run properly and housing decent travelers is getting slimmer and slimmer. The reviews on the hotel apps and on Google capture enough feedback that lend a 51% credible average.

This particular hotel was at the junction of decent ratings and a decent price. That means I had to detour off of I-5 and take a chance. I was going to be in a decent place to test and not suffer regrets. Typically, I like to stay in Comfort Inn & Suite or Sleep Inn properties. I gave Wyndham a chance this time, and I don’t have any real regrets. The guy who ran the counter on the evening of 8-21-2024 had great customer service skills, as did the lady working during the night.

My room was clean, and the floors didn’t appear to be sticky. The remote control was a bit tacky in the way it felt, so I scrubs it clean with soap and water. Speaking of soap. The round disc of soap that comes packaged was absolutely terrible and needs to be changed out to a more lathering and softer type. Other than that…the other care products were decent.

I was in room #136. I can recommend this location to travelers. I saw a few weed or dope heads, but nothing that was out of the ordinary at hotels in this price range - just consider the area. I got 5 stars from me - all things considered.
