Bassett Pond Natural Area

County park & protected habitat for native wildlife & plants, with walking trails & a pond.

Largely swamp land. Over grown. Not clear where legal public access or parking is allowed. Largely surrounded by private property.

Drove down a private driveway to get to trailhead, adjacent to McMansion. Were met with a no trespassing sign at trailhead. Turned around. How is one supposed to get to this public park!

Short, private paths. Lovely pond. Only limit was that trail didn't go completely around - and certain by design, though wanted to loop.
