Thomas Yee at Bay Fine Strings was wonderful to work with as I shopped for my new bow. He is super knowledgable about different bow makers and styles and asked me all sorts of questions about what I liked and disliked before deciding on which bows from his inventory to send me for a trial (I live on the east coast so I couldn't come to the shop directly). The 6 bows he sent me were all wonderful in different ways. In the end, one of them stood out above all the rest, which I purchased. Throughout the process, Thomas was very responsive to my questions, texts, and concerns and made the whole experience easy and unstressful. I would recommend Bay Fine Strings to anybody looking to upgrade their equipment.

I recently took my violin to Thomas at Bay Fine Strings for a bridge replacement and came away very impressed. Thomas was incredibly attentive and enthusiastic about making my violin perform its best overall, going above and beyond in his service. Not only did he of course repair the bridge, but he also conducted a holistic assessment, addressing several issues I hadn't even noticed (and there were many). His deep care for the instrument and extensive knowledge were evident throughout the process. I highly recommend Bay Fine Strings for anyone seeking top-notch instrument care.
