Visiting from northern California and decided to go to Newport Beach. We stopped in to the Beach Pit BBQ. Wow, were we all impressed! We had a party of 8, arrived right at lunch time and anticipated a long wait for service. It was anything but what we expected. Despite the pressure of having so many people come through, he didn't miss a beat or seem stressed in the least.
The food was delicious, moist, flavorful and fresh! We shared around the table a little bit of everything from the meats, salads, slaw and potato salad - all were amazing and their "secret recipe" BBQ sauce was the icing on top.
The restaurant was clean, great atmosphere, decor and music. The outside patio is an excellent place to soak up some sunshine, and they had outdoors heaters for cold days.

Amazing barbecue. The blueberry cornbread complemented the meat well. Mac and cheese was super creamy and the coleslaw was crisp and flavorful. I loved the brisket and pulled pork.
Lots of outdoor seating available during early weekday lunch. Parking lot is small. It's a very cute area to eat.
