Was one of my favorite lunch spots. The homemade soups were amazing! They had the best fries in Tacoma! The big draw for us was the homemade fries.....now they are frozen straight from the freezer. Many times I would take home dinners for my family. Their daily specials had that home-cooked taste. Nothing stands out like the fresh-cut fries, which are no longer available. We miss the made-from-scratch soups that were perfect on these cold winter evenings. Now it's a pub/bar/tavern with food.....just like any other.

This is a friendly tavern with an okay assortment of beer. The fish and chips and clam chowder was excellent! After you eat you can go across the street and take nice walk along the Narrows. I recommend the Beach Tavern.

We had a group of 18 people made arrangements ahead of time the tables were ready. The waiter did an excellent job waiting on all of us and the food was excellent.
